Job Description
The Curriculum Coordinator at Vertus High School plays a pivotal role in ensuring the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective educational programs. Reporting directly to the Principal, this role involves collaborating with teaching staff, administrators, and stakeholders to enhance the school's curriculum, instructional practices, and student learning outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with educators to design and develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks aligned with state standards and school objectives.
- Assess and revise existing curricula to meet students' diverse needs and foster engagement and achievement.
- Periodically conduct a gap analysis on both the online and teacher-led curriculum to ensure alignment with NYS standards and Regents examinations and make adjustments as necessary.

Instructional Support:
- Meet weekly with classroom teachers to provide guidance and support in implementing effective teaching methodologies and integrating technology into the curriculum.
- Conduct observations and offer feedback to enhance instructional practices.
- Work with the Instructional Coach to provide support in classroom management, systems, and routines.

Assessment and Data Analysis:
- Oversee the assessment process, including the creation and administration of assessments to measure student progress and curriculum effectiveness.
- Analyze data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement, making data-driven decisions to enhance teaching and learning.

Professional Development:
- Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff related to curriculum enhancement, instructional strategies, and assessment development and techniques.
- Conduct workshops or training sessions to foster professional growth among educators.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to align curriculum goals with school objectives.
- Communicate curriculum changes, updates, and expectations to staff, students, and families.

Compliance and Evaluation:
- Ensure compliance with state and district educational standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular evaluations of curriculum initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or related field (Required).
- Previous teaching experience with a strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment practices.
- Leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and lead initiatives.
- Proficiency in data analysis and utilization to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into curriculum design

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
